The Coldspring Garden Club hosted the Second Annual Flower Show & Luncheon on Saturday, April 16. The event was held at Jones Auditorium at the Jones Educational Complex. The theme of Wildflowers & Butterflies was evident in the beautifully decorated tables by members of the club. A catered lunch by Kellie's Katering was served to the attendees. The Silent Auction was a huge success as well as the Raffle of the Wheelbarrow filled with gardening supplies and accessories with the winner of the raffle being Karen Culler.

The flower show had 33 entries this year up from last years event. The Garden Club members seem to know what to do this year as reflected in the enthusiasm of the entries and the creativity as presented. The show was open to members and non members as well.

Attendees chose the Peoples Choice entry by voting on their choice. The winner of the Peoples Choice was Pat Blaike, a participant and non member of the Coldspring Garden Club. A member of the Coldspring Area Art League – Blaike's talents certainly were very impressive.

The winners of the Flower Show were Division One, Pat Blaike, with Gayle Curries placing Second and Third. Division Two Winner, Carol Cornell, with Delores Catney in Second and Christine Knight in Third. Division Three was Gayle Erwin in First, Second went to Marcia Echols and Third to Rita Hokansan. Best of Show was chosen from the First Place Winners of each division with Carol Cornell selected at the winner.
