Coldspring Brookshire Bros. robbed

On Saturday, April 16, at approximately 8:55 p.m., the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a Robbery in Progress at the Brookshire Brothers Grocery Store, 14761 Sate Highway 150 West in Coldspring.

Deputies responded immediately to the store and upon arrival found that a robbery had occurred, however, the suspect had fled in an unknown direction or mode. Witnesses reported the suspect approached the courtesy booth counter and delivered a note stating that he had a gun. The clerk handed over a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the store. Sheriff Detectives were called to the scene to process evidence and interview witnesses.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 40's, with black rimmed reading glasses unshaven, wearing a one piece jump suit with a yellow reflective vest, red shirt underneath the jump suit a straw brimmed hat, and possibly gray or green snakeskin boots.
